Paul Tracy - interesting or idiot??

Champ Car > News Monday, July 12, 2004 Ok so F1 is boring to watch right now. You cant say that about the Champ Car series which is looking like a pretty good alternative right now. If only driving standards were better then it would be a nice little series. There seem to be about 7-10 good quality drivers and then a bunch of pay drivers and old-timers who scarcely know one end of the car from the other.
And then there's Paul Tracy. I havent been keeping too closely in touch with the CART/Champ Car scene lately but when I do I almost always hear complaints about this guy. How he's managed to avoid being banned all this time I'll never know.....but I must admit he's fun to watch.

You can't take anything away from his performances but one has to accept that right now the sport is very very dull. The nonsense that passed as pre-qualifying was beyond a joke but the teams can't seem to agree on anything so nothing changes. Once again the sport is being hurt as a result.

Ecclestone eyes new qualifying
