When push comes to shove

I didn't really want to post about this but it seems hard to ignore the punishments handed out in sport today. A little slap on the wrist for English rugby (whilst the hearing was cheered on by a fair number of Aussies no doubt), bans for Arsenal players and a tiny fine for the English FA. All together pretty unsatisfactory stuff, but of all of it there can be nothing more pathetic than the reaction of the Aussie rugby fans over the 16 players incident. It just makes me think "Get a life".

As for the Arsenal mob, then can probably count themselves lucky. Maybe the intention is that if (when??) they offend again then they will get the book thrown at them. Maybe another 50 sendings off will pass first....

"News" well sort of.... R&A tightens etiquette rules

BBC SPORT | Golf | R&A tightens etiquette rules

Ok - I know this is golf we're talking about but what has the world come to. I thought golf was already forever entwined with etiquette and other such nonsense (those trousers urggghh...) but now it's going to be worse. Almost makes you want to play football instead - if only you weren't going to be attacked by rampaging Arsenal players first.

News: FA charges Ferdinand

BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Man Utd | FA charges Ferdinand

Wow - there's no pulling the wool over the eyes of the FA is there. 2 weeks of investigating and they've come to the conclusion that he's "failed to submit to drug testing". Noooooo, surely not. Well, I'm glad they've investigated so thoroughly.

News: Fifa to discuss Ferdinand case

BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Man Utd | Fifa to discuss Ferdinand case

When will it all end. Is there a newspaper editor on the FIFA board or something. Just get on with it and ban the guy. You're going to do it anyway, so why drag it out over a few weeks. We all know he was stupid ("Where are I mobile phone record. I'm sure I left them here. Oh no, there they are in the Sunday papers") but just do whatever you're going to do and leave the man alone.

At last, a place for me to ramble on about anything of interest to me. Usually involving motor sports or football, but generally whatever looks interesting once....possibly.
