England rue "bad luck"

BBC SPORT | Football | Euro 2004 Yeah...whatever. Yet again Sven's team sits on a one goal lead and blows it. Maybe one day he'll teach them to play a whole 90 minutes, but until then let's just wait for some proper football come the start of the Premiership.

United States GP > Race Report

GrandPrix.com
What an absolute shambles. Great performances by Ferrari and Sato but the race was totally spoiled by poor officiating. Firstly, I still dont understand why a first corner crash that takes out a quarter of field does not lead to a red flag. If putting up a good show is important to Ecclestone then surely he would want the cars out there running around.
Then the clean up from that incident was so poor that it seems to have led first to Alonso's accident and then Ralf Schumacher's huge one. I've read after hitting the wall the experienced forces of 70Gs - the greatest figure ever recorded on the F1 equipment. One can only wish him well.
But, it all raised the question - what exactly has to happen for a red flag to be thrown these days. I mean there was a guy there sitting motionless in a car, debris all over the front straight, no-one coming to his aid and still out comes the little safety car. It was ridiculous. One can only wonder now what scale of accident would bring out a red - maybe a Ferrari needs to be involved first......

More GP thoughts

And while I'm moaning what took so long for Montoya to be thrown out the race. It was surely a clear cut decision so just get on with it. Poor effort yet again by the Indianapolis crew. Easy to see why Ecclestone is talking to other US venues now.

Some encouraging news about Burns but also this gives a small insight into how sick he really has been.

British Speedway GP

Speedway World
Great atmosphere in Cardiff on Saturday night. Shame I couldnt be there but watching such excellent racing must have been amazing. Nice to see Greg Hancock winning it, and great to see Lee Richardson finally make a podium - first of many I would think.

Football chants' winning formula

Scotsman.com News - Sci-Tech - Football chants' winning formula I've no idea what Rogan Taylor had been drinking when he wrote this paper, but I would really like a pint of whatever it is.
