F1 vs NASCAR??????

GrandPrix.comThis one is a semi-interesting article about cost cutting proposals in F1 or rather the lack of them, but it's actually the last paragraph that I'm particularly looking at here. To be specific - since when was NASCAR a rival of F1!!!! Sure maybe in terms of numbers of spectators then a NASCAR event (with its purpose built 100,000+ stadia) might well be bigger, but in terms of prestige, relevance to the public and public perceptions of ability, NASCAR doesnt even come close to competing. It's like comparing F1 with Bumper Cars....in fact that's probably quite an accurate comparison.....
