Speedway & Weekend round up

SpeedwayWorld Cup Speedway with the Brits on top form. All the way through I was trying to crticise each of them but then they spoiled it with some great rides. Lee Richardson on great form all night. Chris Harris continues to look like a future GP class rider. Fantastic stuff.

Elsewhere, Gibernau messed up going into the last lap of the Moto GP gifting Rossi a win not for the first time ever.

F1 was mildly entertaining although broadly free of overtaking as one might have expected.

IRL gave a quite dull race actually. The finish was probably as close as the whole race got. But it was good to see Bryan Herta pick up a win and Wheldon stretching his championship lead by a few points.

Champ Cars were racing on what looked like corrugated iron instead of a track, but it was entertaining enough. Bourdais seems to be back on form after an iffy start to the year.

Some great racing over the weekend, but it probably could have been better. A bit more overtaking would be nice. When there's more overtaking in the speedway than in the IRL something has gone seriously wrong.
