Wilson wins maiden Champ Car race

He was miles faster than everyone in the closing stages - at least up to the yellow coming out for AJ Allmendinger's crash - and it would have been fascinating to see him fight with Paul Tracy for the lead. But PT lost his head at a key moment and that was his race over.

Wilson's a contender now and just needs a bit more consistency to be right there at the top of the table.
