Hodgson maintains solid US form / Weekend roundup

BBC SPORT | Motorsport | Motorbikes I quite enjoyed watching the AMA Superbikes last night. Clearly Neil Hodgson is riding the wheels off an comparatively hopeless Ducati but he just can't compete with the Suzukis. Still it was a great race to watch.

Can't speak for the Grand Prix this weekend, though it has been a while since I saw result in F1 decided by as little as a fifth of a second. Nice to see Jenson Button back up towards the right end of the field. He must have been starting to wonder where his next podium finish was coming from.

I also saw the British Superbikes yesterday and two things come to mind about that. Firstly, exactly how out of sorts does Jeremy McWilliams look right now. Could be that these bikes are just too big for him to ride - a trip back to the 250s might help and would probably be of some benefit to Chaz Davies too. The other point was what a great job the organisers did of getting the meeting completed. So many incidents, flags, safety cars and whatever but they still got through the card. Nice work!

Should be a good weekend next week cos as I recall the Speedway GPs are back. British interest is well down this year however, but still Scott Nicholls is coming due for a win this year.
