What's been going on??
Hmmm...not much to report really. Football finally underway but to a pretty muted start to say the least. F1 GP has continued to bore us every other Sunday. Very depressing future for the sport if it keeps heading that way. World Cup Speedway looked pretty good but the final was rather overshadowed by some pretty dubious riding in the final heat.
Indy Racing League has had a couple of ok races, but the kind of races where even that looked a bit processional apart from the last 10 laps. Hmmm....oh well. More IRL this weekend so maybe business will pick up.
Oh yes...the Olympics. Cant decide yet whether it's been a failure so far for "Team GB" (who started calling them that) and for that matter whether I care anyway.
Highlight for me so far has to be the men's synchronised diving or more particularly the judging in it. The one where the American bloke hit his head on the board on the way down and still managed to get "Execution" marks of 7.5 and 8 out of 10 from two of the judges. Right guys!!! Somehow they also got pretty good marks for "Synchronisation" yet the other diver didnt bother to hit his head on the board - lazy so and so. If anyone has any sensible suggestion as to what the heck went on there please let me know.
Athletics gets underway soon so expect lots of American bleating for the next week. What joy!!!
